Walnut & Strawberry Whip Affogato
Serves 2
Ingredients
20 g dark chocolate (70 – 84%)
10 g butter, unsalted
1 pinch sea salt
20 g walnut halves
2 scoops vanilla ice cream (35 g each)
2 shots espresso (brewed)*
4 strawberries (sliced)
Method
1. Melt the chocolate and butter, with a pinch of sea salt, in a heatproof bowl over a pan of gently simmering water, then remove. 2. Crumble the walnuts.
3. Divide the ice cream into two small bowls or teacups.
4. Scatter over the crumbled walnuts, pour a shot of hot espresso onto the ice cream, then drizzle over the melted chocolate and top with sliced strawberries. *You can leave the espresso out if you prefer.
